what do you all make of this?

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 319314.htm

"XW/XY GT FAIRMONT MAG WHEELS"

MAY BE FACTORY? BUT MORE THAN LIKELY AFTER MARKET.

STAMPED MADE IN SOUTH AFRICA.

Some questions and answers on the auction page, definitely not "factory" but maybe dealer options?

Cheers

Paul D.

Defenitely not factory, Paul. I doubt even dealer option?

Those type mags were only available late 80"s early 90's. It must be aftermarket. From the looks of it, it may be from Smiths Wheels.

Maybe he's getting mixed up with these genuine factory wheels. An option in Oz on XY/A/B.

No factory option on wheels existed on the GT's as far as I know. All came with the standard wheels with hub caps and mags would be fitted for tyre- or mags dealers.
